I'm afraid I can't get the program to open. I've opened the self-extraction file and extracted the files, but I can't get any of them to run. I get an error message: "Couldn't find mscoree.dll". I've downloaded an installed that file off the internet, but now it says "couldn't find entry point for mscoree.dll". Could you explain the procedure? Please e-mail me it.

Dear Mr. Barton,

Tenka Text requires the users to have a .NET runtime installed on their machines.

After rereading your message I have realized that you may have tried to run Tenka Text on a Windows machine on which the .NET Framework (2.0 or above) was not installed (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316091) and then instead of installing the .NET Framework (which can be downloaded at http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/netframework/aa731542.aspx “.NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package”), you have downloaded and copied into the scope[1] of Tenka Text only the single file mentioned in the error message: “I get an error message: "Couldn't find mscoree.dll". I've downloaded an installed that file off the internet”.

To solve this transitory[2] issue:

1. Go to http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/netframework/aa731542.aspx
2. Download the .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package for your CPU Model[3].
3. Install the downloaded package and reboot if requested during the installation.
4. Retry to run Tenka.Text.WindowsInterface.exe

Yours Sincerely,
Cetin Sert

[1] This would be either the directory into which you have extracted Tenka Text or any system directory.
[2] Service Packs for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 do tend to include the .NET Framework in their updates and it is also a core component of Windows Vista, so you can skip this one-time framework installation step required on older Windows versions altogether on Vista. The issue is only transitory and a .NET runtime will eventually be part of everyday Windows life.
[3] Should you have any difficulty determining which package to install, just mail me your CPU Model or try them all out in the order they are listed on the website, starting with x86 first.
